As part of a Clean Edge presentation relaying shocking statistics about water scarcity across the globe, these infographics serve to deliver a high-impact visual message about this timely issue.
Steelcase authorized dealer SmithCFI underwent a showroom remodel in 2013 that created an opportunity for environmental graphics in their entry space and showroom lobby to visually represent both the SmithCFI and Steelcase brands. Combining the forward-thinking, active, collaborative and technology-focused aspects of the Steelcase brand with the fact that SmithCFI makes the connection, bringing Steelcase products to clients across the Pacific Northwest, the design concept is a white/blue positive/negative series of dots connected with lines in a flowing pattern, echoing the natural element of the local Willamette River. Showroom guests enter at the lower level where they are greeted with SmithCFI's mission statement, then walk up the stairs as the words "connect," "create," "engage," and "innovate" pop out in bold colors along the flowing graphic. The pattern then transitions to the retail level space in a reversed and more subtle blue-on-white pattern allowing the furniture displays to pop in the foreground. Partially-transparent blue scrims back the lobby area highlighting the Steelcase and other represented brands' logos along with the Steelcase motto, "Love how you work." The dot-line pattern can be found throughout the space on mediascapes and feature walls backing the latest trends in furniture design.
Walker Macy Icons
In order to turn responses to very technically written municipal presentation requirements into an approachable and inviting public presentation, Kelly Perso Design developed presentation templates structured with a series of phrases and icons that clearly identified what landscape architecture firm Walker Macy would bring to the proposed public park project. Icons consist of landscape design and experiential elements of a public park and were paired with photos of a similar concept, filtered to give a sense of nostalgia for a pleasant afternoon in a park. Additional templates were created for a handout package about the team consisting of three saddle-stitched booklets bound in a wrap with the title, "It's about teamwork."
